Foundation Stage

Admissions Criteria 2026-2027

Foundation Stage places are allocated by Milton Keynes Council (MKC).  We have allocated our published admissions number (see relevant admission criteria below) and accepted additional local children. If you are moving into our catchment area of Rickley Park, please click on the link below to enquire about applying for an in-year place at the school.

Foundation Stage Admissions September 2025

Places for the Reception cohort starting in September 2025 have been allocated by Milton Keynes Council.

Applying for a school place – Starting school for the first time in September 2026

If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 they will be due to start school in September 2026.

You must apply online by the closing date (15th January 2026).

We will be holding tours in the Autumn term in which you are able to visit us, please contact the school office to book a place on a tour.

In-Year Admissions

Consideration for 'in-year admission' applications is for any child already in school and looking to move to Rickley Park Primary School.  For 'in year admissions' please contact our admissions officer, Mrs Gibbons, who manages our admissions and waiting list.

Admissions appeals for Foundation Stage places in September 2026

  • Following National Offer Day on, 16th April 2026, if you named Rickley Park Primary School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you have a right to appeal against the decision to an independent appeal panel.
  • Please email office@rickleypark.co.uk to request an appeal form.
