Entitlement and Enrichment
At Rickley Park, we believe that learning stretches far beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer a wide range of enrichment activities designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every child discover what they love. From creative arts and sports to STEM challenges and outdoor learning, these opportunities allow pupils to explore new interests, develop important life skills, and deepen their sense of belonging within our school community.
Enrichment is not an “extra” for us — it’s an essential part of nurturing well‑rounded, enthusiastic learners. By giving children the chance to try new experiences, work with different peers, and celebrate their individual strengths, we help them grow into resilient, motivated and joyful learners who are ready for the world beyond primary school!
At Rickley Park we have many pupil groups across the school that support one another or, an area of the school. The pupils are chosen by either their peers or by school staff to be apart of these very important groups.
Eco Warriors & Junior Park Rangers
Eco Warriors & Junior Park Rangers meet weekly to talk about the environment and how we can care for it. Last year Eco Warriors & JPRs completed the Anglian Water Award, increased recycling use, grew their own vegetables and created a wildflower garden!

Play Buddies
Play Buddies are year 6 pupils who support children in early years and key stage one at lunchtime by organising games for them to play. Play Buddies are great at getting as many children involved in these games as they can!

Sports Captains
Our Sports Captains are year 6 pupils who apply for the role of leading their House Team for the year. We have two Sports Captains for each house: Water, Fire, Air and Earth. House Teams work towards earning tokens across the year and at the end of the summer term, the winning House Team has a celebration event!
Reading Ambassadors
Maths Ambassadors
Crew Ambassadors
Each class has two Crew Ambassadors who act as positive role models, demonstrating our school values every day and encouraging others to do the same. They change on a half-termly basis.
Children have the opportunity to vote for the classmates they believe best demonstrate our Crew values. This gives pupils a meaningful opportunity to experience one of our British Values – democracy – by taking part in a fair and respectful class vote.
